Even as someone who has linked to Scoble in the past, I’m not sure why I care about the redesign of his site. It is if anything worse, since it now includes prominently-placed advertising.

One reason: the integration of other services, as Scoble has done, is something lots of publishers are looking at doing with their WordPress setup.
